Camp Activities: June 28-August 20 (camp closed on July 5) Varied activities give children (ages 3-16) a sense of the world around them, and supportive counselors give them the confidence to tackle it. Menorah campers are encouraged to make the most of their skills and face new challenges during the 6 activity periods per day. Some of the activities your children will enjoy: A wide variety of athletic activities round out the Menorah campers' program on land and in the water: ® Rowing & Canoeing ® Tubing ® Sailing ® Paddleboats & Funyaks ® Red Cross Certified Swimming Instruction ® Free Swims ® Project Adventure Ropes Course! ® Tennis ® Basketball & Softball ® Volleyball & Newcomb ® Whiffleball ® Volleybat ® Ping-Pong & Nok Hockey A blend of cultural and social activities keeps campers happily on-the-go: ® Arts & Crafts, including Ceramics ® Israeli & Folk Dancing ® Drama & Music ® Camp Craft ® Outdoor Cooking ® Oneg Shabbat ® Jewish Cultural Programs
Specialty Camps: This year, we will be offering three specialty
camps.
Preschool Program: Camp Menorah's preschool program offers the following options for children ages 3 through 5: ® Five Days A Week - two week minimum ® Three Days A Week - four week minimum ® Three Half-Days A Week - until 12:30 p.m. - four week minimum Please note that parents must provide mid-day
transportation for half-day campers. Our staff will be happy to
assist in arranging car pools. High School Training Programs: LIT: Camp Menorah's Leader-in-Training program prepares children entering the 9th grade for CIT positions. LIT's are assigned to supervised work with a group or a specialty program. They also take part in their own skill sessions, discussion groups, and recreational activities. Family Nights - Families
& Campers in Bunk 1-10: July 22, 2010 & August 5, 2010 Families are invited to come to Camp Menorah in the late afternoon and participate in a mini-camp day with their children, including taking a dip in our lake, so don't forget to bring your swim suits and towels! Family night is a wonderful opportunity to see what your camper does each day. You are welcome to bring a picnic supper with you, and after dinner, you'll be treated to a special show your children have prepared for you! We hope you'll accept our invitation and enjoy a lovely evening in the woods.
