Tribute Cards
We have lovely tribute cards for sale! Perfect for special occasions (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.) or for memorializing loved ones. The cards, designed by camp counselor Jill Simmons, come in two designs. You can choose all photograph, all drawing (by camper Halle, age 8), or a mix of the two. The inside of the card reads "A Gift has been made (3 blank lines) to Camp Menorah by (another 3 blank lines) ." Cost is $25 for a pack of 5, shipping and handling are an additional $5. You may also send a donation in any amount to the camp at the address above and we will send out a tribute card for you to the recipient you specify. Please consider supporting the camp by purchasing our tribute cards!
A letter from the President of Eight Lights, Inc.:
In the fall of 2002, the Parents Committee to Save Camp Menorah won a great victory by preventing the closure of our camp. As a result, our children will have Camp Menorah for many summers to come. We've fought and won the opportunity to do much more, for many more, with this wonderful lakeside property. We envision an enriching Jewish day camp experience for our kids. We envision outdoor adventures for our Jewish seniors. We envision Jewish retreats for our teens and college-age young adults. We envision leadership retreats for all Jewish organizations and agencies. We envision making the most of Camp Menorah through building a vibrant Jewish community.
Fundraising is the common thread to the success of these visions. Eight Lights, Inc. can achieve only what it can fund. Expanded visions demand expanded funding. Your individual participation is crucial to our communal success. Each contribution of time and money further ensures that Eight Lights and Camp Menorah will succeed.
Fundraising is required to achieve many important goals. These include purchasing the Camp Menorah property, endowing Camp Menorah and its operations, funding Jewish programming and completing necessary capital and equipment improvements. We welcome everyone to join together; each individual contributing what they're able to in time and dollars. No amount is ever too small, and every effort is greatly appreciated.
